I just came back from the embassy of a Gulf country in the Middle East, where I was asked to show the contract I have with my client before they could grant me the visa.

It then dawn on me that I have been working with my client for a few years now without a contract. Each time I sent my invoice I got paid, all based on trust. I am very grateful that I have this very trusting relationship, sadly not very common these days.
